1.
It is an NC State Law that swimming pool
patrons must take a shower before entering
the pool.
-
2.
There is to be no swimming allowed unless
a lifeguard is seated on the lifeguard chair
or unless there is a supervised swim team
or diving team practice underway.
-
3.
Swimwear only is allowed in the pool. NO
CUT-OFFS OR DIAPERS ARE ALLOWED.
-
4.
The Pool Manager and/or the lifeguards are
authorized to clear the pool, the deck,
the grounds and the tennis courts whenever
dangerous conditions exist. Rain will not
necessitate pool closure; however, extended
rainy periods or low temperatures may result
in closure until conditions improve. Pool
management will use the resources available
to make these decisions appropriately.
-
5.
Please do not distract the lifeguards from
their duty, except to report an accident,
an unsafe condition, or to ask permission.
Arguing with a lifeguard is grounds for
immediate removal from the facility. Minors
who violate this rule will have their parents
or the responsible adults notified.
-
6.
Masks, fins, and snorkels can only be used
with a lifeguard’s permission. Rafts
and “noodles” may only be used
during slow times of the day and with the
permission of the lifeguard on duty.
-
7.
Toys that can be dangerous to others are
not allowed in the swimming pool. This includes
Supersoaker-type water guns, tennis balls,
and sharp objects. If in doubt, ask the
lifeguard on duty.
-
8.
Absolutely no glass containers are allowed
in the pool facility.
-
9.
The lifeguards may eject anyone from either
pool for running, pushing, horseplay, imitating
a drowning person or threatening the welfare
of others. Lifeguards will blow their whistles
at those not complying with the rules. The
guards have the discretion to stop any activity
they deem dangerous.
-
10.
Adults must accompany and watch children
in the wading pool. Lifeguards do not patrol
the wading pool.
-
11.
Swim team lane ropes, skimmer lids, the
deep-end rope, and other pool fixtures are
to be moved or adjusted only by the staff.
-
12.
Only one person at a time is allowed on
the diving board. One bounce is permitted
per dive. Divers should exit to the side
of the pool nearest the board. Horseplay
or any other behavior considered dangerous
by the staff or lifeguards is not permitted
while on the diving boards.
-
13.
Swimmers should never dive or swim through
the roped-off lap lane/s.
-
14.
On weekends and at the discretion of pool
management, lifeguards may call a ten-minute
adult swim (for 18 and overs) hourly between
12noon and 6pm.
-
1.
Play on a court is limited to 90 minutes
when others are waiting to play.
-
2.
Only tennis shoes shall be worn on the court
area. No street shoes or other footwear
are allowed.
-
3.
Please remember tennis etiquette and good
sportsmanship at all times. Courtesy to
members playing on adjacent courts should
be exhibited, particularly during the playing
out of a point, and entering and exiting
from the courts.
-
4.
Guest regulations pertain to the tennis
courts as well. The tennis courts are to
be used for that purpose only; violators
may be charged for any damages. No skateboards,
roller blades, bikes, or similar devices
are allowed on the courts.
Repeated
and/or willful failure to follow any of these
rules is grounds for ejection from the club
facilities for an extended period of time,
and for revocation of membership.(with no
refund of membership dues.)
